Surprise Proposal and Engagement Photos at Montreal Old Port Clocktower Beach - Jad & Alexa
Jad lives in Alberta and wanted to propose to his girlfriend during their trip to Montreal; the city where they originally met. He reached out to me to coordinate this surprise proposal and capture the photos as he goes down on one knee and pops the questions.
This was summer and the Old Port, as number one tourist destination in Montreal was buzzing with local and tourist crowds. However, Jad did not mind this as he knew the Clocktower beach waterfront is one of Alexa’s favorite places. He scheduled a romantic dinner and asked Alexa to dress up for the occasion and then suggested they go for a stroll along the water by the Old Port Clocktower before heading there. He knew where I was hiding and waiting for them to walk my way and texted me as they turn the turn down the waterfront path to be ready for the big moment.
I snapped several photos of them walking among the crowds, and then ad everyone is watching, Jad went down on one knee and asked Alexa to marry him. I loved the reaction on Alexa’s face and her surprise as she saw the ring.

We then walked to a slightly quitter place of the Clock Tower beach for some more photos after the surprise proposal. I had packed a bottle of champagne and two flutes with me that were perfect to celebrate the moment with. Jad & Alexa enjoyed a quiet moment drinking champagne and soaking in the excitement of the surprise proposal. After that we took a quick walk in the area and took few more engagement photos to celebrate the day the became engaged.
These post proposal engagement photos were just filled with laughter and smiles, a perfect day to end their celebration.
Shawn reached out to me to document his surprise proposal during a trip to Montreal. Shawn is from the United states and Molly is from China. They had previously met during a business trip and continued dating long distance for few years. This time, this both happened to be in Montreal for a business trip and Shawn chose this trip to ask her to marry him.
